The three rulebooks that decide your pay
Every post has to clear three layers: Community Standards, Partner Monetization Policies, and Content Monetization Policies.
Where you can earn: Pages, professional mode and pro accounts
Only public content on a Facebook Page or a profile in professional mode can earn on Facebook. On Instagram you need a professional account.
Live in an eligible country, and bank there too
You and the bank or payout account connected to you must both be in a country where the program is offered.
Build an established presence (30 days minimum)
Your Page or profile needs at least 30 days of authentic activity before any monetization feature opens.
Be 18 or older
Every Meta creator payout program checked for this guide requires you to be at least 18.
Politicians and governments can't monetize
Elected or appointed officials, candidates, parties, political committees and government agencies are not eligible.
Your partners' violations can cost you
If an agency, network, admin or financial account linked to you breaks the rules, your monetization can suffer too.
Where to check your monetization status
Facebook shows status in Meta Business Suite and the Creator Dashboard. Instagram splits it between Account Status and Monetization status.
